2020 Alaska State Presentation Contest

We're so glad to see you here! Hopefully, by now you've read the Alaska 4-H Presentation Guide,  spoken with your 4-H Leader and District Agent, and prepared your presentation for competition!

If not, please do those things and then come back!

State Contest Information

Each District will have the opportunity for 4-H members to compete in their District.

The top two winning entries in each district (blue ribbon and above), in each age division and contest category should be submitted (by age group) to the state for entry into the statewide contest by September 8 including:
1. Demonstrations in each age group
2. Illustrated talks in each age group
3. Speeches in each age group
4. Team demonstrations
5. Power point presentations
6. Other categories as available

State contest entries will be judged, and results will be announced by September 15, 2020.
Due to COVID-19, many of our districts in Alaska are having their District Presentation contests online this year, which will look a little different than the in-person Presentation Days you may be used to.  We wanted to give you a little bit more information to guide you on this journey.

First off, please check with your District Agent to find out what their plans are for your district's Presentation Day, and note any deadlines that may apply.

If your district has decided to have 4-Her's in your district submit videos of your presentation, we have some tips for both the 4-H presenter and their helper, who will be recording your presentation.

Tips for Recording Your Presentation

Important Dates for Districts:

September 8: Deadline for submission of winning entries to statewide contest
September 15: Statewide contest winners will be announced
