Goals
To maintain, encourage and develop self-value, responsibility and independence within youth and communities
To maintain, encourage and develop traditional values within our youth and communities

Picture
Housed at the Bristol Bay Native Association,
the Bristol Bay Federally Recognized
Tribes Extension Program supports 4-H
and positive youth development activities
in Dillingham and communities throughout the region.
With an emphasis on traditional values and
cultures, Bristol Bay 4-H encourages
youth to develop a sense of independence,
self-worth, and responsibility to self,
others and community.

We welcome new volunteers, ideas for 4-H projects, and new clubs! All youth ages 5
to 18 are welcome. There is an annual $10 membership fee/child; the annual family
membership is $30 (for families with three or more children enrolled).

A 4-H project can be any fun, educational activity that a caring adult would like
to share with youth. Dog mushing, small fur-bearer trapping, sewing, gardening,
animal husbandry and photography are some examples of programs that are active
or planned in the Bristol Bay region. Led by adult volunteers, young people can be
part of a 4-H group activity, or form a 4-H club.
