Congratulations to our Pioneer Peak team for winning Reserve Champion and to Idea Champion team for winning 4th place at the 2018 Alaska State 4-H Livestock Contest in Kenai! Pioneer Peak was 1st in Judging, 3rd in Skillathon and 2nd in Quiz Bowl, with Idea Champions 4th in Judging and Skillathon and 3rd in Quiz Bowl. Kayleena Roberts was 1st in Individual Judging and Ryan Eklund 3rd, Macee Eklund was 1st in Individual Demonstrations, Extemporaneous, Quiz Bowl and Art/Photography and top Intermediate, Kayleena Roberts was 2nd in Individual Demonstrations, 3rd (tie) with Ryan Eklund in Extemporaneous, 3rd in Quiz Bowl. Destiny Reimers was 5th Individual in Skillathon. Canyon Roberts was top Junior. Great Job!

2014 State 4-H Livestock Contest Win!
Congratulations to our Mat Su team of Jarett, Cutter, Maia and Olivia for their success at the recent contest, held in Fairbanks. Coached by 4-H leader, Jenny Wren, the team placed 1st Overall, as well as  1st in Skillathon and 2nd in Judging. In individual points, Maia placed 1st overall, 1st in Skillathon and Judging and 2nd in Public Speaking. Jarett placed 1st in Demonstrations and Arts and Photography and 2nd in Extemporaneous. Olivia placed 3rd Overall, and 2nd in Skillathon and 3rd in Extemporaneous. Tanana District did a fantastic job in hosting and we look forward to the contests' return to the Mat Su/Copper River District next spring! Start studying!


Horse Camp 2014
4-H Horse Camp returned to the Alaska State Fairgrounds with a fantastic 3 days!  With almost perfect Alaska weather, campers enjoyed horse related clinics, arts and crafts, games, good food, great counselors and more! Many thanks to Stephanie Haase, Mary Tryon, Sheila Martin, Marla Lowder, Paige Martin, Mariah McCoy, Lydia Shumaker and others who helped make it happen!
