Swine Project

One of the most popular of all 4-H livestock projects, swine (pigs) are intelligent, versatile farm animals. In a swine project, youth will become familiar with and apply the recommended principles of swine animal science. In addition, they will gain knowledge of sound breeding, feeding, and management practices. 4-H swine project participants will develop integrity, sportsmanship, decision-making capabilities, and public speaking skills by participation in demonstrations, tours, and exhibits. You may show swine as part of the project. Youth can choose a breeding or market project.
