The ability to effectively communicate is one of the most important life skills a young person can learn.
From the earliest stage of membership 4-H'ers learn to become effective communicators by demonstrating their knowledge of chosen topics through Public Presentations and Educational Displays. The 4-H program offers a variety of public opportunities for youth to practice and polish their Public Presentation and communication skills, and incentivizes their efforts through contests, personal achievement awards, recognition, and event scholarships.
